Full Disclosure: I did playtest this map, so I might be biased. This map easily had the best atmosphere of the bunch, and is one of few half life 2 maps to genuinely feel “scary”. The shadow of the Phase Spider at the beginning was easily my favorite touch. I was also a huge fan of the random events occurring with each playthough.The fight is good, until 'Last Legs' starts playing, then its amazing. Easily the hardest bit in any Half-Life game imo. Especially on Hard it's genuinely challenging the first few times. I always get a heart attack whenever a strider gets too close to the base and the alarm just destroys your eardrums.

Because he either have the same goal or he can get luxury if he follow the combine. Same goes for the Civil Protection units, you can have better life than normal citizens and occasionally beat them.
